This is my latest project, a crazy quilt inspired cosmetic bag. I recently picked up the book Crazy Quilting The complete Guide by J. Marsha Michler. The front cover was enough to get me to pick it up and take it home. The beautiful detailed work and bright colors is something I can't resist. When trying to figure out how to finish off my patchwork pouch I pulled out Crazy Quilting and taught myself some new stitches and took my time.

My workspace is out of control! I have supplies stacked on supplies stacked on supplies. All due to a great week. I got published, I got in to Craft Lake City and most importantly I have been wanting to create again.
More pictures to come this week of my recent projects.
Dallas Russell was born in 1923 to retired vaudeville performers: Frank “The Flash” Russell and Natasha “Boom Boom” Valnentino…. Ok Dallas just has a wild imagination, as is evident from her fanciful, Easily Amused collection. Actually, she was born much later in Salt Lake City and was bestowed the gift of craft by her mother. Dallas wasted no time in using her artistic inheritance. She began by creating matching outfits and fashionable accessories for her and her doll collection. She finds her inspiration through color, all things adorable, Japanese cute and vintage findings. Oh, did I mention she likes silly things, especially anthropomorphized animals that wear hats and eat spaghetti! Other than making the world a more whimsical place, she is a Program Coordinator for youth at an after-school and summer program. She likes to ride her bike, watch hours of Project Runway and The Daily Show with her patient hubby Steve. So step right up and see the amazing Dallas and the world of Easily Amused!
